Floating Accommodation Provincial Act:
Mr. Watson has kindly provided this information as noted at the meeting. Effective July 1, 2023, Ontario amended Regulation 161/17 (and 326/94) under the Public Lands Act to ban “floating accommodations” from anchoring or mooring on public land covered by water (provincial lakes & rivers). https://ero.ontario.ca/notice/019-6590 Since this didn’t apply to Federal waters, Parks Canada modified their mooring regulations in May 2024 to effectively prevent floating accommodations from being able to moor on the Rideau and Trent-Severn:
